The fertility preservation and ovarian transplantation workshop at the Ovarian Club meeting is a hands-on clinical and laboratory program designed for medical doctors, embryologists and scientists who are interested in learning, discussing and practicing principals, clinical issues and different techniques of fertility preservation.

The workshop will focus on cryopreservation and whole organ ovarian transplantation. Lectures will focus on tissue harvesting, laboratory techniques, tissue transport, tissue evaluation, whole ovary transplantation and storing. Clinical sessions will include consultations, decision making and patients’ follow–up.

The surgical & embryology laboratory sessions are hands-on exercises with live tissue. Each participant will obtain practical knowledge about the steps involved in the procedures of reparation, cryopreservation, thawing and transplantation the ovarian tissue.

Videos of clinical cases of transplantation will be presented during the course.
